Morgan Holloman-McDonald
Founder & Executive Director
Morgan Holloman-McDonald (she/her) is a cultural strategist, mother, memory worker, and the visionary behind Black Girls Know Best (BGKB), a national nonprofit and archival movement committed to centering the lives, dreams, and brilliance of Black girls. Born and raised in the South, and shaped by a lineage of resistance, Morgan brings an unapologetic lens to her work: one rooted in Black feminism, cultural preservation, and radical care.
As the founder and Executive Director, Morgan leads with a powerful blend of research, storytelling, and grassroots organizing. Her work spans from building youth-led archives and liberation schools to reimagining public history through dolls, digital platforms, curriculum, and community events. A sociologist and historian, Morgan’s work interrogates the systems that silence Black girls and works to build new ones that amplify their power.
She is the creator of The Black Girlhood Archive, and a strategist behind countless programs and campaigns focused on joy, justice, and cultural survival. Every project Morgan touches is a love letter to Black girlhood, and a blueprint for liberation.
