“As we wait to see how the stars show up tonight at the Met Gala, let’s dig into the history behind this year’s theme, which celebrates Black fashion and activism dating back to the 18th century.

This year, the Met Gala is Black AF-and it matters. For the first time, Black fashion, identity, and resistance are front and center on fashion’s biggest stage. As we celebrate “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” we’re not just talking looks-we’re honoring centuries of creativity, pride, and protest.

😬Not gonna lie, I’m also low key nervous to see how non Black folks will interpret this theme.

Who are you excited to see in this theme?

I can’t wait to see how fellow Harlemite Teyana Taylor, Rihanna, and Doechii pay homage to our ancestors on the carpet.
